The System Professional service capability has been built and designed to deliver optimised performance, resilience, high availability, security and management. System Professional’s data centre infrastructure is provided to customers on a consumption basis. Clients only pay for the compute and storage resources that they actually use.
Both of the System Professional data centres have primary and secondary power feeds and primary and secondary WAN connections, provided by different utility and communications companies. The data centres themselves are managed by two independent operators, so there is no single point of failure in the supply chain. Reducing the risk of failure is a vital part of understanding our cloud hosting infrastructure.
Within the data centres, there are dual power feeds and communications lines to our server racks where we have deployed Tier 1 Vendor hardware, including HP ProLiant servers and Blades, 10Gbe HP ProCurve networking, Cisco ASA Firewalls, KEMP LoadMaster load balancing and Nimble and HP Storage Arrays.
The core network switches, firewalls and load balancers operate in active/active pairs and all servers have multiple Network Interface Cards (NICs) and dual Power Supply Units. As such, there is no single point of failure anywhere in the hardware stack.
As a VMware Enterprise Partner, System Professional has deployed a similarly Tier 1 VMware vSphere Enterprise class virtual environment, which includes many high availability features such as vSphere vMotion and Fault Tolerance. We also support a Microsoft Hyper-V environment.
System Professional operate a fully multi-homed and highly resilient IP transit service. Our network is based entirely on Nimble, HP, Super Micro and Cisco hardware and has an extremely high level of resilience and diversity in both its physical and logical routing.

With an IT Consulting and Project delivery capability, System Professional can provide a full wrap-around service to ensure the migration from an on-premise IT infrastructure to a cloud hosted service is delivered on time and to pre-determined specifications.
