Stephen Bell joins System Professional as Service Desk Manager

System Professional is pleased to announce that Stephen Bell has joined the company as Service Desk Manager. Stephen's role will be to oversee and manage the System Professional technical support delivery and internal help-desk team.
Stephen spent the past 10 years within Symantec Managed Services, as an Engineering/Service Delivery Manager delivering full security engineering services to EMEA customers. He has worked in Operation Centre environments providing incident management and solutions to many of the FTSE 250 firms including major banks, aviation giants, oil and energy suppliers and large government sector bodies.
Prior to Symantec, Stephen worked in the Royal Air Force for 9 years as an Air Electronics Operator (Aircrew) and 3 years as a UNIX Network/Systems Administrator/Deputy Operations Controller with responsibility for global military escalation for world events.
On a technical level, Stephen's key technical skills cover a range of leading security vendors and products, including Symantec Enterprise Firewall (Raptor), Check Point FireWall-1 (CCSE NG) and Cisco PIX (CSPFA). He also has a broad knowledge of the Symantec security suite, covering Symantec Intruder Alert, NetProwler, Enterprise Security Manager, Power VPN, NetRecon, Symantec Gateway Security (SGS), Manhunt, Snort and Symantec Network Security (SNS).
Stephen is a CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional and holds the ITIL SME Foundation accreditation.
On a personal level, Stephen lives in West Sussex with his family and is kept busy with two new grandchildren.
