Quality Cisco support and project delivery praised at CSMA Club
10 June 2011
David Leen (Group IT Manager) at CSMA Club in Brighton, East Sussex has praised the high-level Cisco technical consulting and network support received from System Professional.
The Civil Service Motoring Association (CSMA) was formed in 1923. The intent was to enable Civil Servants with an enthusiasm for Motoring and Motor Sports to enjoy their interests in a 'Club' environment and to gain the benefit of their collective 'buying power' to provide cheap oil and petrol, spares and insurance.
Today, CSMA have over 300,000 members drawn from civil servants, public sector company employees and their families. It is the largest private home, motoring and leisure organisation in the UK.
System Professional already provides ongoing Cisco support to CSMA, covering their routers, switch infrastructure and firewall devices. David approached System Professional for specialist Cisco consultancy to resolve some network issues within their existing infrastructure.
The networking design and installation work delivered by System Professional covered 3 main phases;
1. Configuration of three additional WAN circuits onto CSMA's managed BT IP Clear service. The implementation included the installation of additional routers and BGP peering configuration to propagate routes from BT's routers.
2. Re-configuration of the internal LAN environment, migrating from a single flat environment to multiple VLANs, supporting Management, Production and iSCSI.
3. Configuration of Cisco and Juniper firewalls to allow remote connectivity for 3rd party application development.
David commended System Professional for the quality of ongoing Cisco support and project work delivered: "I was really impressed with the technical understanding and abilities of the System Professional technical team. They took time to understand the complex network issues we had, made the appropriate technical recommendations and implemented them successfully. They were happy to go the extra mile, work out of hours when required and got the job done quickly and efficiently."
