Ongoing IT support provided to Uckfield FM
28 Jul 2010
System Professional has been delighted to help Uckfield FM with ongoing IT support, cabling and outside broadcast assistance.
This coincides with Uckfield FM's return to the air as a full time station on their new frequency of 105FM and online from the beginning of July 2010.
As Chris Moss, System Professional's Marketing Director explained, "We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Uckfield FM team. As a local community radio station, they provide an invaluable service to residents and businesses in and around the Uckfield area. System Professional is committed to working with local companies and providing a high level of IT support services."
Uckfield FM was born in summer 2002 when original founders Mike Skinner, Paddy Rea, Gary King and Alan French agreed that the Uckfield Festival needed support from its own radio station.
During the rest of that year and during early 2003, Gary scoured local commercial and hospital radio stations to build the original team of presenters. This included names such as Mike Ziolek, Tony Williams and Jon Royle. All have presented mainstream programmes on the station from that first broadcast until today.
As a Community Radio Station, Uckfield FM will broadcast 365 days a year. It remains a not for profit organisation run mainly by volunteers.
Mike Skinner, Chairman of Uckfield FM added "I am so pleased that System Professional are on board with us and supporting the station's IT. We had to set up a very complicated system and nothing has been too difficult. Every problem we had was solved with minimum of disruption and minimum of delay. It is great to know that they are there when we need them."
