St Edmund's is situated in Dover, 'Gateway to Europe' and one of the busiest ports in the world. The school nestles in a quiet lane overlooked by the historic castle and within a mile of the coast and the famous white cliffs.

As a co-educational Catholic school and Sixth Form for pupils from 11 - 18, St Edmund's has a well established track record for providing an excellent education and opportunities for all students, whatever their needs and abilities, from the moment they are welcomed into the school in Year 7 until they leave to go on to university, college or employment.

Following an initial discussion with Gemma Burt-Davies (IT Administrator) and Keith Pankhurst (Network Manager), System Professional's technical team was invited to the client's site in Dover to evaluate the existing Symantec Backup Exec 11d installation and processes.

Bruce English (Senior Technical Consultant) and Adam Race (Technical Consultant) subsequently re-configured the backup software and introduced a more streamlined, Disk to Disk to Tape backup solution.

Gemma commented that she and Keith were extremely pleased with the results: "Bruce and Adam were a great help in enabling the Backup Exec to function properly. Since their work was completed, we have had a successful backup over night and no further problems. We look forward to working with System Professional again in the future."
